This is the MAX version of GBA2DS Landscape, featuring an even larger touchscreen to provide the definitive experience when playing Pokémon Gen 4 games, which make heavy use of the 2nd screen. To achieve this, the touchscreen size is increased from a 1.25 to a 1.375 scaling factor, fully maximizing the edge-to-edge format (9:19.5) of the iPhone X and later. Additionally, all button graphics have been recreated in higher resolution compared to the original default GBA landscape skin.
This skin is designed in the style of the default GBA landscape skin but optimized specifically for Nintendo DS. It draws inspiration from fullscreen skins like the “328 Horizon” by 328yt, though I found that existing options had very limited space for controls, prompting me to create my own landscape skin. The goal was to keep the control layout exactly like the GBA skin (which I mainly used to play Pokémon Gen 3 games), allowing me to continue playing without having to relearn finger movements.
I've disabled the Left (L) and Right (R) buttons, as they’re unnecessary for Pokémon Gen 4 games and would otherwise clutter the layout. The D-pad has a low opacity (25%), so it doesn’t obstruct dialogue, which appears in that space. Additionally, the included PDF is a layered Photoshop file, allowing you to easily adjust elements like opacity as you prefer. There’s also an invisible menu button in the same top-center position as in the GBA landscape skin.
The archive includes files optimized for both iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 14, with adjustments to align with the distinct rounded corners of each model. Both versions should work well (though maybe with minimal distortion) on any edge-to-edge screen with a 9:19.5 aspect ratio (iPhone X and later).
